Founded in 1876 in the heart of Paris, the Paul Prouté gallery has been installed since 1920 at 74 rue de Seine. The family has four generations of dealers in fine art, prints and drawings.
The gallery is primarily engaged in selling, expertising and purchasing of works of art on paper: drawings, original prints or beautiful interpretive prints, executed from the 15th century to the present day. Generalist, the house benefits from an international influence and attracts professionals and private collectors.
The Prouté family offers for sale more than ten thousand old, modern and contemporary prints and drawings covering a six-century period of history in images. Unique or multi-faceted artworks by renowned artists or talented young creators, they have all been selected according to a high quality criterion. All eras, all drawing or engraving techniques, all subjects are represented, leaving a wide range of choices to the customer with a broad range of prices.
The gallery publishes two catalogues a year and participates in the Salon du Dessin in Paris and at the Print Fair in New York.
