Created in 1976, the baudoin lebon contemporary art gallery displays a variety of practices (painting, sculpture, photography, installation, etc.) keeping modern and contemporary photography as a specialty. Thus the first exhibitions of Australian Aboriginal painters were displayed in Paris (the result of a long-term exchange with Australia), some unknown aspects of the painting tenors such as Dubuffet or Michaux, outstanding artists such as Réquichot or Bettencourt, in situ installations by Simonds or Uematsu, a major Fahlström’s ensemble, the latest photographs by Mappelthorpe, Appelt or Witkin… Located near the Carreau du Temple, in the third arrondissement of Paris, the gallery has also been present in South Korea in Seoul, in the collaborative Kaan space since 2016.
