After studying literature and librarianship, Alain Cano founded the Laurencin Gallery with Gérard Chevé in 1977. He has been specializing in the sale of old and modern prints for over forty years and is also an expert, member of the National Chamber of Specialized Experts (CNES), besides, he is novelist under the name of Nicolas Cano
