H291(355)xL226(299)mm. All margins untrimmed. One tear at left edge. Minor stains. De Vinck n°324. Duplessis, Iconography of Queen Marie-Antoinette,
Paris, Quantin, n°320. Counterpart to the equestrian portrait of Louis XVI by the same artist (De Vinck n°323). Fine proof on watermarked laid paper in contemporary colors, from the 1st state (of 2), before Basset’s skill and new work on Marie-Antoinette’s hairstyle and wig.

Relief and aquatint engraving by an anonymous artist, printed in colors on linen textured paper. H600xL475mm.
Some foxing on the slightly blotchy verso. Few short tears in the margins and lightly dusted. Margins. Beautiful and rare commemorative print.
