Born in 1970 in Osaka and settled in Paris, Atsuko Ishii is dedicated to engraving art . In her coloured etchings unfolds, with humor and dreamlike, all her imagination. Through a game of magical rebus puzzles, Atsuko creates surreal images, aligning side by side fragments of life and childhood, on the basis of women’s press releases.

The exhibition will present a selection of engravings with new creations. It is part of the 2019 etching Festival. Organized by Manifestampe, this annual festival proposes to discover the print through various events in France and Europe: exhibitions, workshops, conferences….
